Steven M. Berman Panelist for San Diego Bankruptcy Forum

TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Steven M. Berman, partner in the Tampa office, will be a panelist at the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum’s “Bankruptcy Appellate Practice: Putting the Appeal Back in Appeals” program to be held March 15, 2011.  This panel discussion also features the Honorable Randall L. Dunn (United States Appellate Panel of the Ninth Circuit, United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Oregon), and Katherine S. Kruis (United States Appellate Panel of the Ninth Circuit, Appellate Research Attorney).

Mr. Berman has over 20 years of experience and has focused his practice as a business bankruptcy litigator representing creditors, trustees, committees and business entities litigating disputes in bankruptcy court.  He is Board Certified by the American Board of Certification in both Creditors' Rights Law and Business Bankruptcy Law, is a member of both the Florida and California Bars and is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, all California state courts, all federal courts in the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the federal courts in the Southern and Central Districts of California and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  After the annual meeting in May, Mr. Berman will be named to the Board of Directors for the California Bankruptcy Forum and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum.

Mr. Berman received his J.D. from University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.S. in Multinational Business Operations from Florida State University.
