COLUMBUS, OH – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Columbus partner, Kelly A. Leahy, has been elected to the Society for Ohio Health Care Attorneys, Central District Board, for a two-year term, effective January 1, 2018. 

The mission of the Society for Ohio Health Care Attorneys is to advance the field of health care law by providing a forum for the exchange of information among attorneys serving Ohio health care providers; present relevant educational programs; and monitor emerging legal issues and developing case law pertaining to Ohio health care.

Kelly practices in the firm’s healthcare practice group and works closely with health care executives, physicians, in-house legal counsel and compliance officers on a full range of regulatory, transactional, contract, compliance and business matters. 

Kelly is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Health Care Compliance Association and is President of the Board of The Mother Ship.  She received her J.D. from Capital University Law School and her B.S. from Miami University.
