TAMPA, FL - Shumaker Advisors Florida, LLC, is pleased to announce that Carlye Morgan, Director of Governmental Relations, Shumaker Advisors Florida, has been appointed to the Athena Society Board of Directors. The Athena Society is an organization of Tampa professionals who have demonstrated leadership in the community and committed themselves to promoting equality and opportunity for women.

Carlye launched her career in public policy, working as Legislative Assistant to Congresswoman Kathy Castor in Washington and Outreach Director in Tampa.  Her policy portfolio included education, small business, and the arts.  During this time, Carlye also worked on a presidential campaign during the 2008 election cycle.  Subsequently, she consulted for a public policy think tank and provided public engagement for a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation non-profit.  Additionally, Carlye served as the Senior Director for Government Relations for the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, providing local, state, and federal advocacy to the business community on a wide variety of legislative topics, including health care, transportation, US-Cuba relations, defense, and tax policy.
