SARASOTA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Sarasota managing partner Jennifer B. Compton spoke at a CBIZ Insurance “Medical Marijuana in the Workplace” seminar on March 8, 2019 at the Sarasota Yacht Club. Jennifer spoke on matters surrounding Florida’s Amendment 2, how this affects employers, the Drug-Free Workplace Act, and other workplace implications.

Jennifer is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law. She primarily represents employers and provides assistance in preventative counseling and the defense of litigation brought by current and former employees. She regularly practices in Federal and State courts as well as in arbitration. 

Jennifer received her B.A. from the University of Florida and her J.D., with honors, from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University.
