Rebecca Shope Elected to Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo Partner Rebecca Shope was elected to the Board of Trustees for the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce (“Chamber”) effective January 2021, for a three-year term.

The Chamber, founded in 1894, is a membership organization serving over 2,300 businesses in the Toledo region. The Chamber’s mission is to foster economic growth and prosperity by advocating for a thriving business environment, leading the charge to attract and retain talent in the region, and connecting businesses with resources and opportunities for growth. The Board of Trustees is responsible for guiding and carrying out the Chamber initiatives.

“We are excited to welcome Rebecca back to the Chamber Board of Trustees, where she previously served in 2018 as the liaison from EPIC Toledo, our young professionals group,” said Wendy Gramza, President and CEO of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We appreciate her sharing her time, input, and expertise with our organization as we continue to address the most pressing issues our businesses, and our region are facing.”

Rebecca concentrates her practice in the areas of employment, litigation, and family law. This includes assisting employers in navigating complex employment-related issues. A proactive counselor, she seeks to develop a deep understanding of her clients’ business needs to help anticipate and prevent workplace disputes before they arise. On the family law side of her practice, Rebecca represents clients in divorce and child custody matters.

Rebecca is very active in the community and serves on numerous boards. She is a current board member of the Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts, which oversees the direction and governance of the Toledo Symphony and Toledo Ballet. In addition, Rebecca serves on the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Leadership Board and has been recognized for her leadership, receiving the 2017 Toledo "Woman of the Year" award for her fundraising efforts. Rebecca is a past recipient of the Toledo "20 Under 40" Leadership Recognition Award and has been named as an Ohio Rising Star by Super Lawyers for the last seven consecutive years.
