Kathleen represents a variety of homeowners associations, condominium associations, business organizations, financial entities, municipal corporations and individuals. She has experience handling various litigation matters, including covenant enforcement, collections, commercial and residential landlord-tenant litigation, municipal code enforcement, board lien foreclosures, community association lien foreclosures, mortgage foreclosures, foreclosure defense, and breach of fiduciary duty claims.

Kathleen has prevailed on multiple appeals in both community association lien foreclosure cases and municipal code enforcement board lien foreclosure cases. She has successfully defended receivership actions and breach of fiduciary duty claims against nonprofit board members. She has successfully litigated countless lien foreclosures and difficult covenant enforcement cases.

Kathleen also provides general counsel services to a variety of homeowners associations and condominium associations. She assists her clients with every aspect of community association law. This includes amending, interpreting, or revitalizing governing documents, ensuring statutory compliance, providing advice or opinion letters on association legal questions, preparing liens and handling collections, mediating or arbitrating covenant enforcement cases, responding to requests for accommodation under the Fair Housing Act, running controversial membership meetings including elections, and drafting policies to address collection, enforcement, official records inspections, rental applications, and pet restrictions.
