TOLEDO, OH – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Neema Bell, Partner in the Toledo office, has been selected by the YWCA of Greater Toledo as an honoree of the 2010 YWCA Milestones: A Tribute to Women award.

The YWCA Milestones Award recognizes women of Northwest Ohio who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and who, through their efforts and accomplishments, opened doors for other women to achieve milestones of their own.

The YWCA of Greater Toledo will celebrate its 15th Milestones Award ceremony on March 23, 2010.

Ms. Bell is a member of the litigation practice group.  Her principal area of practice is civil litigation with an emphasis in commercial litigation and has extensive experience in all types of commercial defense litigation.  Ms. Bell has substantial experience in media and constitutional law, class actions, medical malpractice, and employment law.

Ms. Bell is a member of the Toledo and National Bar Associations.  She is also a member of the Mercy College and WGTE-TV Boards of Trustees, Mercy Health Partners Northern Region Emeritus Board of Trustees and the University of Toledo College of Law National Advisory Council. Ms. Bell is also an Appointee to The Judicial Center Commission of the Supreme Court of Ohio.

Ms. Bell received her J.D, with honors, from the University of Toledo, and her M.A. and B.A. from Bowling Green State University.
