TOLEDO, OH – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Stephen A. Rothschild, partner in the Toledo office, has been selected for the 2010 Fellows Class of the Ohio State Bar Foundation.

The Ohio State Bar Foundation is a 501(c)3 public charity that works to advance the law and build a better justice system.  Through its grants and programs, they educate and perform outreach to the public to make the law fair for all Ohioans.  Membership in the Foundation is an honor extended only to lawyers whose careers have demonstrated their dedication to the highest ideals of the legal profession and the welfare of their community.

Mr. Rothschild is a member of the litigation, trust and estate administration, and estate planning practice groups.  He has extensive experience representing individuals, business clients and banks in complex commercial disputes throughout the country and counsels clients regarding trust and estate planning and related litigation.  Mr. Rothschild currently serves as outside general litigation counsel for an S&P 500 company and previously served as Regional Counsel for product liability claims for a major U.S. tire manufacturer.

Mr. Rothschild was recognized as one of the Twenty Under Forty in Toledo in 2002 and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® and Ohio Super Lawyers®.  He is also a recipient of the Toledo Business Journal’s 2009 “Who’s Who in Area Law”.  Mr. Rothschild was recognized as one of Northwest Ohio's 2009 Outstanding Community Volunteers by the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Mr. Rothschild received his J.D., cum laude, and his B.S. from Northwestern University.
