TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that C. Graham Carothers, Jr., a partner in the Tampa office, has been selected for the 2011 Leadership Tampa Class.  Founded by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Tampa’s members participate in educational sessions, tours and candid conversations with community leaders.  Topics including law enforcement, education, social services, the environment, economic development and the arts.

Mr. Carothers has extensive experience in representing individuals and businesses in a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including the purchase and sale of shopping centers, office buildings, retail centers, multi-family housing projects, hotels, and sports and entertainment complexes, as well as condominium developments and conversions, and large-scale land assemblages.  He also regularly represents property owners in zoning variances, wetzoning, comprehensive land use plan amendments, and other land use matters before local and state agencies.  Mr. Carothers has broad experience representing landlords and tenants in commercial leasing matters, property owners in complex title insurance matters, and institutional lenders in real estate-based loan transactions.

Mr. Carothers received his J.D., with honors, and his B.S., with honors, from Florida State University.
