TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that on January 21, 2011, Tammy N. Giroux, partner in the Tampa office, was one of the presenters at the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section Fidelity and Surety Law Committee’s Mid-Winter Meeting Program. Ms. Giroux authored a paper, “Calculating the Performing Surety’s Additional Time to Complete”, for the ABA Program entitled “When the Walls Come Crumbling Down - The Critical Construction Issues Facing the Performing Surety,” held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York City.
Ms. Giroux has extensive experience representing surety companies in connection with payment, performance, fidelity and fiduciary bonds. In addition, Ms. Giroux has represented both individual and corporate clients in a variety of complex litigation matters, including contract disputes, tort and real estate litigation, and debtor-creditor matters.
Ms. Giroux received her B.S. in Finance, cum laude, from Florida State University, and her J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law.
