SARASOTA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Richard Q. Lewis, III has joined the Sarasota office as an associate in the corporate, tax and estate planning departments. Prior to joining Shumaker, Mr. Lewis served as Assistant Attorney General in the Tax and Finance Division of the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. Mr. Lewis was also in private practice for several years in St. Augustine, Florida before being selected for the Office of the Attorney General.

Mr. Lewis received his J.D., cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, his LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from the University of North Florida.
