John C. Barron Selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America

TOLEDO, OH – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that John C. Barron has been selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.

The Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) is a trial lawyer honorary society. Membership is limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.

Mr. Barron is a partner in the litigation practice group in the Toledo, Ohio office. He has extensive experience in a broad spectrum of litigation, including commercial disputes, medical malpractice defense, product liability, employment-related tort claims, and business disputes.

Mr. Barron has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the categories of (1) Bet-the-Company Litigation, (2) Commercial Litigation, and (3) Medical Malpractice Law-Defendants. He was also named the "Toledo Best Lawyers Medical Malpractice Lawyer of the Year" for 2011, and is a recipient of the Toledo Business Journal's "Who's Who in Toledo Area Law" recognition.

Mr. Barron received his J.D. from Stanford Law School and his B.A., with high honors, from the University of Michigan.
