TOLEDO, OH – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Neema M. Bell, partner in the Toledo office, was the recipient of the Mercy College of Ohio Misericordia et Cura Award.
The Misericordia et Cura Award is the highest honor bestowed by Mercy College. The award recognizes individuals, who by their lives, embody the motto of the College, Misericordia et Cura (Compassion and Care), the values essential to the healing ministry.
Ms. Bell’s principal area of practice is civil litigation with an emphasis in commercial litigation. Ms. Bell has extensive experience in all types of commercial defense litigation and has substantial experience in media and constitutional law, class actions, medical malpractice and employment law.
Ms. Bell has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America®. Ms. Bell is a member of the American and National Bar Associations. She is also a member and officer of the WGTE-TV Board of Trustees, The University of Toledo Foundation Board of Trustees and the YMCA/JCC Regional Board of Trustees. Ms. Bell is a member of the University of Toledo College of Law National Advisory Council and the Toledo Chapter of The Links, Inc. She is a former member of the Northern District of Ohio Advisory Council, the University of Toledo College of Law Alumni Association Board of Governors, Mercy College of Ohio and Mercy Health Partners Boards of Trustees, and the Toledo Bar Association Grievance Committee.
Ms. Bell received her J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law where she graduated as Valedictorian and member of the Order of the Coif. She received her M.A. and B.A. from Bowling Green State University.
