Duane A. Daiker Elected to Executive Council of the Appellate Practice Section of The Florida Bar

TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Duane A. Daiker, partner in the Tampa office, has been elected to the Executive Council of the Appellate Practice Section of The Florida Bar. The Appellate Practice Section of The Florida Bar is a 1,700-member organization devoted to promoting excellence in Florida's state and federal appellate courts. The purpose of this section is to enhance the role and skills of members of The Florida Bar who are engaged in appellate practice through study, continuing legal education, and the exchange of ideas among the appellate community.

Duane represents individual and corporate clients in a variety of appellate matters in state and federal court.  He is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as an Appellate Practice Specialist, and leads the firm’s appellate practice group.  Duane also represents surety companies in connection with payment, performance, and fiduciary bond disputes throughout the State of Florida.

In addition to his full-time law practice, Duane serves as an Adjunct Professor at St. Petersburg College, teaching classes in law, legal research, and writing.

Duane received his J.D., with high honors, from the University of Florida, and his B.A., with high honors, from the University of Florida.
