TAMPA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Robert R. Warchola and Duane A. Daiker presented at the Northeast Surety & Fidelity Conference held September 20, 2012 at the Borgata in Atlantic City.  Shumaker is a co-founder and sponsor of this annual conference.

Robert R. Warchola, partner, presented “Prejudgment Attachments and Fraudulent Conveyance Claims in Fidelity Litigation Securing Assets Prior to Judgment – East of the Mississippi.”  Duane A. Daiker, partner, co-presenter with James Gibson of Liberty Mutual Insurance, presented “Preventing and Defending ‘Strike Suits’ Against Sureties and Fidelity Carriers.”

Bob has extensive experience in representing various entities involved in the construction process. He also regularly represents individuals and corporations in a variety of contractual disputes and business related matters.  He received his B.A. from The George Washington University in 1982 and his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 1985.

Duane represents individual and corporate clients in a variety of appellate matters in state and federal court.  He is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as an Appellate Practice Specialist, and leads the firm’s appellate practice group.  Duane also represents surety companies in connection with payment, performance, and fiduciary bond disputes throughout the State of Florida.   In addition to his full-time law practice, Duane serves as an Adjunct Professor at St. Petersburg College, teaching classes in law, legal research, and writing.  He received his J.D., with high honors, from the University of Florida, and his B.A., with high honors, from the University of Florida.
