TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that its Leadership Shumaker program raised over $10,000 in 2012! 

Leadership Shumaker involves the firm’s attorneys and staff members in numerous civic and fund-raising events that benefit not-for-profit charitable and arts organizations in the Tampa Bay area. 

Throughout 2012, attorneys and staff of Shumaker held a school supply drive benefiting Westshore and Dover Elementary Schools; a water drive to benefit Meals on Wheels; a bowling tournament benefiting HARC, a pet food drive benefiting Lost Angels, and a clothes drive benefiting Dress for Success.  In addition, Leadership Shumaker sponsored 15 children in need from A Brighter Community over the holidays and sponsored a veteran’s airline flight to D.C. through the Honor Flight of West Central Florida.  Donations were also made to Voices for Children, the American Diabetes Association and the STEPS program of Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful.  In addition to participating in these events, employees of Shumaker coordinated several Jean’s Days, an Ice Cream Social, a Bake Sale and a very popular Chili Cook Off to raise funds.

Through the generosity of its staff, Leadership Shumaker continues to raise money for various local charities throughout the year.
