SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that Jennifer B. Compton, partner in the Sarasota Office, will be a panelist at the Business Women’s Initiative Women of Influence & Rising Stars conference Wednesday, March 20th at the Sarasota Yacht Club. Topics will include personal branding, intergeneration communication and best practices, among other things.
Jennifer primarily represents employers and provides assistance in preventative counseling and the defense of litigation brought by current and former employees. She regularly practices in Federal and State courts as well as in arbitration. Areas of defense recently handled by Jennifer include claims under the ADA, FMLA, FSLA, ADEA, Florida Whistleblower Act, and Florida Trade Secret Act. Jennifer is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law.
Jennifer received her B.A. from the University of Florida and her J.D., with honors, from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University.
