TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Cathleen O’Dowd, partner in the Tampa office, was a speaker at the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation Conference “Preservation Advocacy: Fixin’ the Process and Workin’ the Program” on May 15, 2014. The presentation discussed critical historic preservation issues from the perspective of the advocate, local government and developer as well as effective advocacy before preservation boards and agencies.
Cate’s practice includes the representation of property owners and developers on historic preservation, zoning, land use and comprehensive plan issues before local governments within the Tampa Bay region including, but not limited to, the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, Sarasota County, and the Cities of Sarasota, North Port and Venice.
Cate received her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law and her B.A. in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame.
