John H. Burson Selected to Serve as Board Chairman of the Chaîne des Rôtίsseurs Foundation

TOLEDO, OH – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that John H. Burson, partner in the Toledo office, was selected by the Board of Directors of the Confrérìe de la the Chaîne des Rôtίsseurs, Ltd., to serve as Chairman of the Board of the 11 member Board of Trustees of the Chaîne des Rôtίsseurs Foundation. 

The Foundation is an IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization formed in 1993, which has awarded more than $4,000,000 in scholarships to culinary students, in addition to sponsoring the National Young Chefs Competitions.  The Foundation supports scholarship programs at over 25 culinary schools in the United States.  

John is certified as an Accredited Estate Planner and is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.  His principal areas of practice are estate planning, corporate and taxation law.  John is a retired Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

John received his LL.M., Taxation, from Georgetown University Law Center, his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. from Williams College.
