CHARLOTTE, NC – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Kathryn A. Gromlovits, partner in the Charlotte office, has received board certification from the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization in Trademark Law.  Certification is the highest level of recognition by the North Carolina Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in their particular area of practice.

Katie  Gromlovits is one of only 25 attorneys in the state of North Carolina and one of only four attorneys in the Charlotte area to achieve this distinction.  Katie concentrates her legal practice in the area of trademark and copyright law.  She has counseled clients in the area of state and federal trademark selection and registration, as well as copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual property matters.   Katie also has experience in all types of intellectual property disputes and litigation in both the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and federal courts.   Katie received her B.S. degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her JD degree from the University of South Carolina.  Katie is also a registered patent attorney.
