TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that Thomas E. Toner, partner in the Tampa office, has been selected to Tampa Bay Technology Incubator Council of Professionals.  Tampa Bay Technology Incubator, through USF CONNECT, supports technology research as a catalyst for economic development and advocates the creation and development of facilities for high-technology companies and related support functions.

Tom, a Registered Patent Attorney, focusses his practice on patent prosecution, copyright, trademark, trade secret and related technology litigation.  His experience in patent prosecution includes medical devices, technology components, photolithography, electronics, MEMS, communications systems, computer hardware and software, Internet business methods, municipal and localized wastewater treatment and construction with a focus in therapies and pharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.

Tom received his J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law and his B.S. in Biology from the University of Central Florida.
