SARASOTA, Fla. — Attorneys Benjamin R. Hanan and Jennifer B. Reviewers are asked to assess their colleagues’ general ethical standards and legal ability. In addition to serving as Sarasota’s managing partner, Hanan is the co-chair of Shumaker’s firm-wide management committee. As an attorney and CPA, Hanan works in Shumaker’s corporate and trust and estate practice groups and deals primarily with business law and estate planning. Compton, also a partner, is board certified by The Florida Bar in Labor & Employment Law and is co- chair of the firm’s marketing and business development committee as well as the firm-wide labor and employment law department. She concentrates on employment law counseling and litigation, representing employers and providing assistance in preventative counseling, as well as defense against litigation brought by current and former employees.
