The primary goal of Shumaker’s Summer Associate Program is to provide the class with a realistic picture of what it is like to be an Associate at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP. Summer Associates are given the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects involving multiple practice areas. In addition, the Summer Program affords the opportunity, whenever possible, to participate in or observe aspects of the practice of law outside the office, including court appearances, discovery proceedings, client meetings and transaction closings. The Summer Program also includes in-house seminars on various areas of our practice.
Summer Associates become acquainted with our attorneys through work and a number of activities outside the office, such as dinners, sporting events and practice group get-togethers.
