J. Todd Timmerman President-Elect of the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation

TAMPA, FL -  The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that J. Todd Timmerman, partner in firm’s Tampa office and Co-Chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group, has been named President-Elect of the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation.  Established in 1996, the Foundation serves as the charitable entity working in conjunction with the Hillsborough County Bar Association. The primary mission of the Foundation is to support and promote programs and projects which encourage assistance to the poor, disabled, and disadvantaged, primarily with regard to their legal needs, and to educate the public about the legal system.  Todd has served on the Board of Trustees of the Foundation since 2009.

Todd is certified as an Intellectual Property Law Specialist by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education, and practices in the firm’s Intellectual Property Law, Corporate, and Litigation Practice Groups.  His practice spans a wide range of transactional and litigation matters for the firm’s clients. He maintains an extensive intellectual property and information technology law practice, focusing on trademark, copyright, and patent protection and litigation, intellectual property licensing, and intellectual property, information technology, and other business transactions.  Todd received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida in 1992, and his A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1989.
