Southwest Florida – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, a full-service business law firm with five offices including Tampa and Sarasota, recently hired Erica Shea as the chief business development officer in Florida.
Shea is transitioning from her role as senior multimedia account executive at the Tampa Bay Business Journal, where she has worked for 10 years and has been consistently ranked No. 1 in Florida for performance.
“Erica brings a wealth of client relationship experience and professionalism to this role,” said Julio Esquivel, managing partner for the Tampa office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick. “We look forward to having her on board and leveraging her experience and relationships to further benefit our clients.”
In this new role, beginning September 21, 2015, Shea will help support the firm’s business development initiatives. She will spend time in the Tampa and Sarasota Shumaker offices.

Shea previously served as a sponsorship chair and organizer for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk and currently serves on the University of Tampa Board of Counselors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Florida.
