TOLEDO, OH – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that attorneys Donald M. Mewhort, Jr. and James F. White, Jr. were recently honored as 50-year law practitioners at the Ohio State Bar Association’s (OSBA) District 4 Annual Meeting on September 29^th at The Toledo Club. 

Don is Of Counsel in the Toledo office.  He has practiced in the labor and employment practice group since he started with the firm in 1965.  Don served on Shumaker’s Management Committee and as Managing Partner.

Don has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America^® in the labor and employment law category since the inception of that publication.  He is a member of the Toledo and Ohio Bar Associations.  He is also a founding member of the OSBA’s Labor Law Section. 

Don received his LL.B. and A.B. from Duke University.

Jim is Counsel in the Toledo office.  He has practiced in the corporate practice group since joining the firm in 1967.  Jim served on the firm’s Management Committee and is a former Managing Partner.   

Jim is a member of the Toledo Bar Association and the Ohio Bar Association and was a member of the Corporate Law Committee of the Ohio Bar Association.  He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America^® since its first publication and in Ohio Super Lawyers.

Jim received his A.B. from Princeton University, his J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law where he was President of his senior class, and his LL.M. in Taxation from The New York University School of Law, Graduate Division.  He also attended Wharton School of Finance & Commerce - Graduate Division.
