COLUMBUS, OH – Erin W. Hawk has joined Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLP as its first Chief Business Development Officer for the State of Ohio. In this newly created role, Hawk will lead client development efforts for the firm’s Columbus and Toledo offices.

Hawk will target and secure new client relationships while working to grow business from existing clients for the firm in Ohio and beyond. In addition, she will work with firm management on client feedback initiatives, and train and coach attorneys in Columbus and Toledo to develop their business development skills.

Hawk comes to Shumaker with more than 20 years of experience working with lawyers to develop and expand their client base and grow their practices. She served as President of the Legal Marketing Association, Ohio Chapter, in 2014 and is Co-Chair of the 2016 QuickStart Pre Conference Program for the Legal Marketing Association’s International Conference in Austin, TX this April.
Hawk graduated first in her class both from The Ohio State University’s School of Journalism, where she received her undergraduate degree, as well as from Franklin University’s Masters of Science in Marketing and Communication Program.
