Rachel B. Goodman and Kathleen G. Reres Graduate Tampa Connection

TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Tampa associates Rachel B. Goodman and Kathleen G. Reres graduated from Tampa Connection.  The Tampa Connection program helps guide executives into key leadership roles while helping meet Tampa’s growing social, health and education needs.  Its mission is to prepare class members to become active volunteers and leaders in the Tampa Bay community.

Rachel’s principal area of practice is health law, including regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, HIPAA, licensure and certification, and corporate transactional matters for a range of healthcare providers, including hospitals, physician groups, and physicians.  Rachel also advises on a variety of Florida health law issues including the developing medical marijuana law.  She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Transylvania University.

Kathleen represents a variety of homeowners associations, condominium associations, business organizations, financial entities, municipal corporations and individuals.  She has experience handling various litigation matters including covenant enforcement, collections, commercial and residential landlord-tenant litigation, municipal code enforcement Board lien foreclosures, community association lien foreclosures, mortgage foreclosures, foreclosure defense, and breach of fiduciary duty claims.  Kathleen received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida and her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Central Florida.
