Mark Wagoner Appointed to Bipartisan Judicial Advisory Commission to Recommend Federal Judge Nominees

TOLEDO, OH - Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Mark Wagoner, Co-Administrator of the Ohio Litigation Practice, was appointed by U.S. Senators Rob Portman and Sherrod Brown to the Bipartisan Judiciary Advisory Commission that will assist them in identifying the best candidates to fill open seats on the federal bench in the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.  Federal district courts are general trial courts that hear both civil and criminal cases.  There are currently three federal court vacancies in Ohio, two in the Southern District and one in the Northern District. The Bipartisan Judiciary Advisory Commission will make its recommendations of qualified candidates to Sens. Portman and Brown for these open positions as well as other openings that may arise in the future.

In addition to this appointment, Mark was recently named a Life Member of the Judicial Conference for U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
