Steven M. Berman Moderator at 25th Annual Southwest Bankruptcy Conference

TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Tampa partner Steven M. Berman moderated a panel discussion at the 25th Annual Southwest Bankruptcy Conference in Coronado, California.  The panel consisted of Robbin Itkin, Liner LLP, Edward Gavin, Gavin/Solmonese LLC, and the Honorable Scott Clarkson, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California.  The panel discussed “Recent Court Decisions on Legal Ethics of Which You Should be Aware.” 

In addition to moderating the panel, Steve also organized the special event Tequila, Tacos & Tunes at Coronado Yacht Club which raised over $9,000.00 for the American Bankruptcy Institute Endowment Fund.

Steve has over 27 years of experience and has focused his practice as a business bankruptcy litigator representing creditors, trustees, committees and business entities litigating disputes in bankruptcy court.  He is Board Certified by the American Board of Certification in both Creditors' Rights Law and Business Bankruptcy Law, is a member of both the Florida and California Bars and is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, all California state courts, all federal courts in the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the federal courts in the Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  Steve received his J.D. from University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.S. in Multinational Business Operations from Florida State University.
