A paralegal in Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLC’s Litigation department, Kathy has more than 30 years of litigation experience in a broad range of practice areas, including:

  • General commercial litigation

She has served as the lead paralegal in numerous trials in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings.

In addition to Kathy's law firm experience, she worked as a legal coordinator for a multi-state staffing company where her responsibilities included litigation management, statutory compliance, and legislative monitoring/lobbying for offices in seven states. Her range of experience enables her to evaluate each case from both a legal and a business perspective and then determine what action needs to be taken.

Kathy is involved in her community through various political and public interest groups, including helping to raise money for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, as well as other organizations.

Living in Florida provides many opportunities for Kathy to enjoy the outdoors. She loves kayaking on Florida’s many rivers and springs. Kathy also loves to travel both in the U.S. and abroad.
