Lauren is a paralegal in the Litigation and Disputes Service Line of our Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP Charlotte office and has experience in general civil litigation and construction litigation in both North Carolina and South Carolina. This experience includes:
- Drafting complaints
- Discovery requests and responses
- Motions
- Subpoenas
- Affidavits
- Notices
- Orders and judgments
- All aspects of deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
Lauren finds her job challenging, yet rewarding. She enjoys helping people and solving their problems. Having a background in various sectors of the legal world, she is not easily intimidated by challenging projects and is constantly using her education and experience to produce the best work product for the client. She received her Paralegal Certification from Duke University. Besides litigation, Lauren also has experience in corporate, estates, and tax matters.
When not helping others at work, Lauren spends time as a volunteer soccer coach for the local YMCA. She also travels frequently and enjoys spending time with friends, family and her dog. She is an avid reader and knows how to appreciate a cold drink on a nice, warm patio.
