Emily is a litigation paralegal in the firm’s Charlotte office where she assists attorneys in the area of medical malpractice defense. In this position, she prepares pleadings, performs expert research, assists with all phases of discovery, has extensive communication with clients and experts, and coordinates all aspects of trial preparation.
Emily is a key part of the Medical Malpractice team and is involved in every aspect of a case from inception to trial. She is in constant contact with clients and provides them with important information and assurance as to the logistics of the case at hand. She participates in trials, as the need arises, and coordinates the scheduling of witnesses for trial.
Prior to joining Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, Emily worked as a litigation paralegal in Charleston. Her experience includes personal injury, insurance defense, civil litigation, and general business litigation.
