A North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal, Tonya is in the Construction practice area of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLPs Charlotte office. Dedicated and hardworking, she has more than 18 years of extensive experience in construction litigation, including participation in client meetings; drafting pleadings, drafting discovery documents, document review, and organization; preparation of deposition, arbitration and trial exhibits; drafting settlement documents and  preparing damage calculations, and all aspects of deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation, including attendance at depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

Tonya has worked in the legal field for 28 years in a variety of practice areas and states. She spent several years as a legal assistant and legal administrator before becoming a paralegal where she now enjoys the challenges of litigation, as well as interaction with clients and being a part of their success.

In her personal time, Tonya enjoys being near the water at the beach, scuba diving, or boating. She also enjoys traveling, shopping, playing golf, and spending time with her children, family, and friends.
