James D. Colner Elected to the Executive Board of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Ohio Chapter

COLUMBUS, OH – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that James D. Colner, partner in the Columbus office, has been elected to the Executive Board of the American Board of Trial Advocates - Ohio Chapter, effective January 1, 2011.

The American Board of Trial Advocates' primary purpose is to work for the preservation of our jury system and the right to a jury trial guaranteed by the Sixth and Seventh Amendments to the United States Constitution.

Mr. Colner’s principal area of practice is business and personal injury litigation.  He has extensive jury trial experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex tort and business cases.

Mr. Colner is Board Certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Civil Trial Advocate.  Mr. Colner is a member of the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Ohio Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Colner received his J.D. from Capital University Law School, and his B.A. from the Ohio State University.
