Shumaker Attorneys Present to Ybor City Development Corporation on Title III of ADA

TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that W. Jan Pietruszka, partner, and H.S. “Brad” deBeaubien, associate in the Tampa office, spoke to a group of Ybor City business owners for the Ybor City Development Corporation.  The title of the seminar was “A Title III ADA Primer for Small Businesses” and addressed the continued threat of “drive-by lawsuits” arising out of Americans with Disabilities Act compliance issues.

Jan’s principal area of practice is labor and employment law on behalf of employers and management.  Jan also represents commercial property owners and tenants in regards to Title III ADA compliance and litigation.  Jan received his J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University in 1999 and his B.A. from Catholic University in 1996. 

Brad’s principal areas of practice are bankruptcy, insolvency and creditors' rights, commercial litigation, and employment and labor law.  Brad received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law in 2008, and his B.A. in Philosophy from The College of William and Mary in 2002.
