Douglas A. Cherry Presented to Florida Institute of CPAs

SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Douglas A. Cherry, Partner in the Sarasota office, presented at the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) 2013 Valuation, Forensic Accounting & Litigation Services Conference on January 10, 2013 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  Doug’s topic was “The New Digital Terrain and eDiscovery Amendments to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure: An Overview and Discussion.”

Doug is Board Certified in Intellectual Property Law.  Doug’s practice focuses on intellectual property (patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret and unfair competition) consulting, acquisition, licensing and litigation.  He also focuses on computer and technology law, business law and entertainment law, including consulting clients and attorneys in electronic discovery issues, domain name disputes, E-commerce agreements, technology implementation transactions and software performance disputes, consulting and employment agreements, and technology licensing.  Doug chairs the eDiscovery Committee of The Florida Bar Business Law Section and was involved in the drafting of the eDiscovery Amendments to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
