TAMPA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Duane A. Daiker, partner in the Tampa office, spoke at the 24th Annual Southern Surety & Fidelity Claims Conference April 17-19, 2013 in Charleston, South Carolina. Duane’s topic was “Preventing and Defending ‘Strike Suits’ Against Sureties.”
Duane represents individual and corporate clients in a variety of appellate matters in state and federal court, and leads the firm’s appellate practice group. Duane also represents surety companies in connection with payment, performance, and fiduciary bond disputes throughout the State of Florida. In addition to his full-time law practice, Duane serves as an Adjunct Professor at St. Petersburg College, teaching classes in law, legal research, and writing. He received his J.D., with high honors, from the University of Florida, and his B.A., with high honors, from the University of Florida.
