SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Yuliya V. Swaim has joined the Sarasota office as an associate in the Litigation and Construction Law Practice Groups.

Prior to joining Shumaker, Yuliya worked as a contract attorney, assisting with research and drafting of legal documents for various complex civil matters.  In addition to obtaining her J.D. and LL.M in International Law at Stetson, she attended Kyiv Institute of International Relations of National T. Shevchenko University and graduated with honors with both her Master of International Law and her LL.B in International Relations and International Law degrees.

While in law school, Yuliya was a Law Review member, participated in the Honors Program and received Carey & Leisure Torts Book Award and the Gardner W. Beckett Civil Liberties Award. Yuliya also participated in the Carlton Fields First-Year Appellate Advocacy Competition and worked as a research assistant to Professor Kristen Adams.

Yuliya speaks Ukrainian, Russian, English, French, and can read and translate German.
