TAMPA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Tampa partner Gregory C. Yadley chaired the 35th Annual Federal Securities Institute February 7 and 8 in Miami.   Additionally, Greg moderated a securities law panel and participated on an ethics panel.  The Institute featured The Honorable Leo E. Strine, Jr., Chief Justice, Delaware Supreme Court as well as the SEC Chief of the Office of Small Business Policy and the Miami Regional Office Director.

Greg has been a chair of the Annual Federal Securities Institute since 1996, served as a panelist or moderator for the SEC Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation since 2006, and is Co-Editor of The Florida Bar Florida Corporate Practice Manual.  Greg was named to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business©, 2003 - 2015, Chambers and Partners; Florida Legal Elite©, since 2004 (Hall of Fame since 2013), Florida Trend Magazine (top 1.6% of Florida lawyers); The Best Lawyers in America®, Corporate Law, 2005 – 2015; Florida Super Lawyer, and Florida Top 100 Lawyer, 2006 - 2016.  Greg, a member of the Florida Bar and District of Columbia Bar Associations, is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.  Mr. Yadley currently serves as one of 15 members of the SEC Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Businesses.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, has recently completed a three-year term as Chair of the Middle Market and Small Business Committee, and recently had leadership roles in the Federal Regulation of Securities Committees, Subcommittee on Small Business Issuers, and Task Force on Private Placement Broker-Dealers.  Greg is a member of the Florida Bar and District of Columbia Bar Associations.  He is the past Chairman of the Florida Bar’s Business Law Section (and former Chair of the Corporations and Securities Committee), and has been a member of that Section’s Executive Council since 1984.  In addition, Greg is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Law School.  Chair of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick’s Corporate Practice Group in Tampa, Greg also serves as a board member (former President) of the University Club of Tampa, and as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of The Florida Orchestra.  He has served as Chairman of Visit Tampa Bay, the Hillsborough County Arts Council, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Tampa Alumni, City of Tampa Public Art Committee, Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts, Inc., and the Dartmouth Club of Tampa Bay.
