Scott Stevenson Inducted Into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers

CHARLOTTE, NC – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that Charlotte Managing Partner Scott Stevenson has been inducted to the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Scott leads the firm’s medical malpractice team in Charlotte. His principal areas of practice are physician and nursing negligence, as well as nursing home, assisted living and hospital negligence, and compliance issues. Scott has specialized in medical malpractice throughout the last three decades, and has tried cases on behalf of physicians, nurses, hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living centers, in virtually every county throughout Western North Carolina. He has successfully defended physicians in court from virtually every medical specialty.

The Academy is a group of truly elite trial lawyers representing both sides of the Bar: prosecutors and defense lawyers in criminal cases, and plaintiffs' and defense counsel in civil litigation (including business and personal injury cases). While the majority of the Fellows come from the U.S., the Academy includes lawyers from more than 30 countries. Fellowship is by invitation only, and trial lawyers are invited to become Fellows only after an extremely careful vetting process.

Scott received his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, and his B.A. from Washington and Lee University.
