Andrew J. Bosserman

Associate

Clients benefit from Andrew’s experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), as well as his dedication and thorough examination of the law. A member of the Corporate, Tax and Transactions Service Line, Andrew focuses his practice on structuring business entities and transactions, business entity taxation, federal and state tax controversy, and tax planning.

Prior to joining Shumaker, Andrew worked as a CPA at a top 200 public accounting firm and as an IRS agent examining tax returns, which allows him to understand “both sides of the table”-- auditing businesses and individuals, as well as defending them during an IRS audit.

In addition, Andrew owned and operated a tree farm, which contributed to his in-depth knowledge of the Christmas tree and timber industries.

While attending Wake Forest School of Law, Andrew enjoyed serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Wake Forest Journal of Business & Intellectual Property Law, as well as participating in moot court.

When he’s not busy helping clients, Andrew and his wife enjoy hiking in the North Carolina mountains, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering at their local church.
