Jessica L. Prats

Senior Counsel

Jessica began practicing community association law while working at one of the largest insurance defense firms in Florida, where she transitioned to the practice of first-party property insurance defense and honed her knowledge and acumen in that area of practice. Over the course of her career, Jessica has presented multiple seminars to her clients and published a number of articles, ranging in topics from cast iron plumbing litigation to hurricane claims. She has taken several cases to trial and is currently completing her mediation certification.

Jessica comes from a family of lawyers and was introduced to the legal arena from a very young age. Her parents instilled in her the importance of professionalism, hard work, and problem-solving, all of which she has successfully employed in her career.

When Jessica is not in the office, she enjoys baking, cooking, and racing her car at one of the state’s public race tracks. Jessica also participates in local running events, such as 5k, 10k, and 15k races and obstacle courses.

Jessica graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 2014 with a certificate of concentration in environmental law.
