“2023 Construction Law Legislative Update,” Construction Law Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar

Shumaker Partner Brett Henson co-presented the CLE “2023 Construction Law Legislative Update” to the Construction Law Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. The program covered changes to Florida’s construction laws from the 2023 legislative session, to include Florida’s statute of limitations and statute of repose, lien and bond law, public prompt pay act, and immigration reform bill.

The Florida Bar RPPTL Section’s Construction Law Committee is a statewide organization comprised of over 500 hundred construction lawyers and is committed to promoting the highest levels of knowledge, experience, and professionalism within the field of construction law. Brett serves Subcommittee Co-Chair of the Legislative Subcommittee, and co-leads the Committee’s involvement in providing technical guidance to the RPPTL regarding proposed legislation affecting the construction industry.
