TAMPA, FL – Maria del Carmen Ramos, associate in the Tampa office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, has graduated from Tampa Connection.  The Tampa Connection helps guide executives into key leadership roles while helping meet Tampa’s growing social, health and education needs. Its mission is to prepare class members to become active volunteers and leaders in the Tampa Bay community.

Ms. Ramos is an associate in the commercial litigation, labor and employment, appellate, immigration and intellectual property practice groups.  She represents a variety of business organizations, community associations, financial entities, homeowner associations, and individuals.  Ms. Ramos is on the Board of the Buckhorn Preserve Homeowners Association and actively participates in Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick's "Leadership Shumaker" program, which pairs attorneys and staff members with not-for-profit charitable and arts organizations in the Tampa Bay area, and involves the firm in various civic and fund-raising events which benefit such organizations.  She received her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2000 and her B.A. from Yale University in 1996.
