SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that Adria M. Jensen and Hunter G. Norton, associates in the Sarasota office, were the featured presenters at the Third Annual BBT REO Agent Training Seminar April 6 and 7, 2011.  Attendees consisted of agents who sell REO properties, title agents, bank officers and personnel, and asset managers.  Ms. Jensen and Mr. Norton discussed The Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act requirements and procedures, obtaining writs where borrowers will not vacate, and Association disputes.  Ms. Jensen also discussed post-foreclosure title issues.

Ms. Jensen focuses her practice on general business litigation including real estate, contract, landlord/tenant, and corporation and partnership disputes.  Ms. Jensen regularly represents banks and other financial institutions working with problem loan workouts, mortgage foreclosures, debtor/creditor disputes, and the disposition of REO assets.  Ms. Jensen has been recognized as a Florida Rising Star in 2010 by Super Lawyers® magazine.  Ms. Jensen speaks, reads and writes Spanish fluently. Ms. Jensen received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, and her B.A., with honors, from the University of Miami.

Focusing his practice on business, construction, and civil litigation, Mr. Norton counsels his clients on all phases of the litigation process.  His work includes interviewing key witnesses during depositions, discovery, preparation of motions and other court-required documentation, pre-trial preparation, trial and mediation representation.  Mr. Norton has been recognized as a Florida Rising Star in 2010 by Super Lawyers® magazine.  He is fluent in Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian.  Mr. Norton received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.S., cum laude, from Excelsior College.
