Shumaker Attorneys Spoke at ADA Compliance Seminar

TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that W. Jan Pietruszka, partner, and H.S. “Brad” deBeaubien, associate in the Tampa office, spoke at an ADA Compliance for Small Businesses workshop on July 30, 2013 at the Children’s Board in Tampa.  Their topic was “Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act: A Small Business Primer.”

Jan’s practice includes defending corporations and management from claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, Fair Labor Standards Act violations, workplace torts, breaches of employment contract and unpaid wages. He has extensive experience in representing clients being investigated by the Department of Labor, the Department of Justice, the EEOC, the Florida Commission on Human Relations and the Unemployment Appeals Commission.  Jan received his J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University in 1999 and his B.A. from Catholic University in 1996. 

Brad’s principal areas of practice are bankruptcy, insolvency and creditors' rights, commercial litigation, and employment and labor law.  Brad received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law in 2008, and his B.A. in Philosophy from The College of William and Mary in 2002.
