TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Mindi M. Richter, partner in the Tampa office, has been appointed Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

Mindi is certified as an Intellectual Property Law Specialist by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education.  She has counseled clients in the areas of trademark selection, registration and protection, as well as trade secrets, copyright, patent, and internet matters. Mindi has experience in litigating intellectual property matters of all types, both in the United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as in state and federal courts across the country. Guiding clients in negotiating, developing and drafting licenses, assignments and other intellectual property contracts is another area of her experience

Mindi received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and her B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University.
