TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that William R. Swindle, a partner in the Tampa office, has been named to the Tax Certification Committee of The Florida Bar.  In addition, Bill has been appointed as Co-Chair of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Department where he also serves as Co-Chair of the Tax and Employees Benefits Department.  Bill is board certified by the Florida Bar in both Taxation and in Wills, Trusts and Estates, and he practices in the areas of federal and state taxation and estate planning.

Bill has authored numerous articles on tax and estate planning matters published in law reviews and in national and bar publications and is a frequent lecturer on tax and estate planning topics.  He also serves on the Editorial Board of Practical Tax Strategies magazine.

Bill received his J.D., with honors, and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida, and his B.S. in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Florida Southern College.
