TAMPA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Tampa partner Mindi M. Richter spoke to the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA), Polk County Chapter, on media and intellectual property law issues on February 17, 2016 in Lakeland.

Mindi is certified as an Intellectual Property Law Specialist by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education.  She has counseled clients in the areas of trademark selection, registration and protection, as well as trade secrets, copyright, patent, and internet matters. Mindi has experience in litigating intellectual property matters of all types, both in the United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as in state and federal courts across the country. Guiding clients in negotiating, developing and drafting licenses, assignments and other intellectual property contracts is another area of her experience.  Mindi received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and her B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University.
